How does it work?

The process starts with a consultation, we want to learn more about your business and the reasons for the hire.

Once we reach agreement and are contracted by you, the subsequent search incorporates a fully comprehensive approach. We use a three-tiered approach that involves confidential networking and research, our own CV database search and, if appropriate, advertising (which can be named or anonymous depending on your preference).

We then thoroughly vet our older worker candidates to ensure they are interested, available and fully briefed on the opportunity, as well as possessing the necessary skills, experience and attributes. This means that not only will the most suitable candidates be forwarded for interview, but also those who actually really want the role on offer.

We will typically interview up to 10 candidates before narrowing these down into a shortlist of 4 or 5. This shortlist is submitted with full details of each applicant’s relevant experience, their strengths and – if any – weaknesses. Critically, we will also outline exactly what each individual is looking for from the position, and what their main reasons for moving jobs are; this will help overcome any frustrating counter offers.

Communication is key and during the recruitment process, we continually feedback to both the client and candidate after each stage, each interview. This enables questions or concerns on either side to be addressed and therefore ensures that momentum is maintained throughout the process. Once a job offer is made, we can play a full and thorough part in the salary negotiations having already provided guidance on expectations to both sides at the outset. In summary then; and on every assignment, we undertake to:

  • interrogate the brief
  • assess the role’s key objectives
  • produce the perfect job post
  • accurately map the market
  • filter and curate the best applications
  • employ rigorous screening
  • interview candidates one-to-one
  • conduct pre-interview behavioral assessments when requested
  • probe and challenge the candidate’s experience and track record
  • assess culture fit
  • prepare a shortlist
  • be on point during the interview process
  • find you the right hire

Ultimately we take the hard work out of your senior searches working to a performance basis as we do. Given this “no win, no fee” business model we do request “agency exclusivity” on your role to allow us to service your needs fully and complete the full candidate recruitment cycle with a hire.

Our rates are competitive too. For exclusive engagements we charge a £995 retained fee* + 10% of first year base salary with a 100% money-back guarantee for 90 days. For non exclusive engagements, ie. you have another agency on board, we work to 15% of first year salary with the same 100% money back guarantee for 90 days.

This fee is retained whether successful or not but is deducted from the final invoice when a hire is made. The purpose of the retainer is to represent your commitment to Greydient for the extensive time and effort we will invest in the project. While never being a guarantee of success, this time will allow us to prioritise you and cover a larger proportion of the marketplace and consider an even more impressive number of qualified candidates. Greydient  is committed to first class service levels and success but needs a client’s committed support to justify our own commitment too
